Inside Out

Intro: Change requires a willingness to do battle with old ways of thinking because our habits? They’re just like machines; they consistently turn out the same product. So my question to you is, “Whatchu goin’ do?”
V1 – Paul has told us “Do not be / Conformed to this a-g-e / But be transformed by the re- / newing of your mind so we / May discern what is the “g”/ double “o” – d & p-l-e / a-s-i-n-g and perfect will of God for all to see / Since He’s changed me from the inside out / That means I won’t be chillin’ in my sin hideout / Know what I’m talkin’ about? Oh yeah, I’m sure you do / ‘Cause when the Lord starts His work that means self-effort is through! / Let’s say today’s the day to breakaway from the old you / Forget about the trash from your past that wants hold you / Down . . . kinda like a broken elevator / But a different set of standards will help you see yourself as greater / “See ya later’s” what I had to say / like going to school on Saturday / to all the people that wanted to move, but it wasn’t in the Master’s way / to go against the crowd you’re going to need your mind renewed / So if they say you’re acting rude and try to catch an attitude (tell ‘em) . . .

V2 – In . . . side . . . out, oh yeah, you heard it clear / And if you need to get in gear, you can get that truth right here / Matter of fact, don’t take my word, lift your sword, yeah take your Word / Open to the book of Romans chapter 12 let that truth get transferred / From your head down to your heart, that’s where transformation will start / So if you’re seeking to change your behavior, first you must be seeking the Savior!
Bridge – Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God remold your minds from within!! (How do you do that??)

Bridge – Today, what can you do to find yourself at the foot of the cross instead of in the middle of the pack? It’s simple y’all, at all costs, we must abandon the world’s way of thinking. Every action begins w/ a thought, so to change your actions, you’ve got to change the way you think . . . and the way you do that is

Bridge – To believe that God exists, that He is real, means that I either continue to live my life disobeying Him or I have to surrender and commit to change. Only after God works in you can He work through you. And that’s what being INSIDE OUT is all about!
