Intro: Oh, I know what they told you! They probably said something like this! (singing) Money, Money, Money, Money! But see, they failed to you about Matthew 6:33 & Hebrews 13:5. Right there, you can see for yourself that “it ain’t about the dolla bill, dolla bill y’all!”
V1 (DJ 1 God) – I make money, I don’t let it make me / I ain’t Hollywood homie, I ain’t MTV / I’m more low key, so you can check my style / Ain’t no ice in my watch, no grill when I smile / I don’t speak about cars or the size of my wallet / Or how much education that I got in college / But I know big money cause dog I got mills / The first time I live my life by God’s will / Not a million dollars but a million blessings / But let’s talk dollars so they get the lesson / I make about forty, got thirty in retirement / I give back five ‘cause He gave on consignment / Small price to pay for the life He gave / But y’all gettin’ caught in the money and the fame / Let’s really be real ‘cause everybody got dough / The question is how dog much you’re goin’ sow
Hook: Man, Hold Up! / We’re seeing too many cats get stuck / Wanting wicked wealth got my people in a rut / Like it takes a bunch of money & a little bit of luck / (So we’re like) Man, Hold Up! / God is throwing Truth your way, so don’t duck / But you’ve gotta Hold Up x 8
V2 (Excelsius) – Man, hold up, what’s wrong with this picture? / Cats don’t seem to know about the wealth in the scripture / No dollar signs in the Bible, still God is wicha / When you let the truth hitcha, that’s how poor folks get richer / Spiritually rich, baby, that’s whasssup! / But if you’re paid in full & spiritually bankrupt / Then you’re broke as joke, but don’t laugh, it ain’t funny / While you make money money, make money money money! / You spend it just as fast as you can get it / And givin’ money to the church, nope, you ain’t wit it! / And givin’ money to the needy, might as well forget it / But you’re flossin’ like a boss, well over your credit limit / And that’s even if you’ve got credit at all / Pride goes before destruction, yo, you ready to fall? / If you aren’t, then it’s time to respond to the call / Money got you captive like a slave chained to the wall / Now it ashes to ashes, dust to dust / And in order to be respected, making money is a must / And instead of making money, now the money’s making us / And on the back, they have the nerve to print “In God We Trust”! / In God We Trust?, man who y’all foolin’? / Get rich quick schemes got mad folks droolin’ / Hungry for the Benjamins, wantin’ major dividends / Where even God’s People givin’ in to money’s rulin’

V3a (1 God) – Will a man rob God, yeah I see it all the time / Every Sunday morning in the offering line / I be like “Whoa!!”, how much you gone sew? / How much you goin’ give so the Body can grow? / The truth is He don’t really care about you stunting / But the problems come in when He sees that you fronting / You got an evil eye, dog they’re green and tight / The love got you in spot shaking dice every night / Or on the corner hustling selling some blow / And you make good money bit you still want mo’ / But the thing about dough is that it eventually fades / And the love will get you stuck ask Priscilla Slade
V3b (Excelsius) – Here’s a little secret that seldom gets spoke / When you are giver, you’ll never be broke / because as long as you are sowing into good ground / You can expect the harvest to come back around / But if your slogan is “I’m out to get paid” / Then really what you mean is “I’m about to get played” / The love of money gotchu thinkin’ you don’t need God’s aid / No you’re not Special Ed, and you don’t have it made / Buying stuff you don’t need with money you ain’t got / To impress people you don’t really care nothing about / Man, I’m trying to make it plain, let me try once again / Read 1 Timothy Chapter 6 verse 10

Outro: What we’re talkin’ about is stewardship fam! Using what God has entrusted to you in a way that brings glory to His name. You can save money, but money can’t save you. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. We place no trust in the things of this world.
